Naval Air Station North Island's nearest major airport is the San Diego International Airport, located about 3 miles away. Another major airport nearby is General Abelardo L. Rodriguez International Airport which is located about 17 miles from NAS North Island and services both domestic and international flights. Taxis are available at the airport, and the USO offers discounted shuttles to the station and is located in Terminal 2.

If arriving by car, take Interstate 5 through Imperial Beach and bear right onto State Highway 75. Highway 75 will take you directly to NAS North Island.
